Dasvidaniya ICSE'26

Dasvidaniya 2025–26: Roots to Wings was held on 7th February 2026 at 9:30 a.m. with great warmth and dignity, in the presence of the Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Tony A. J., Finance Director at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, and the Guest of Honour, Ms. Varshitha Reddy, an alumna and Senior Software Development Engineer at Nokia. The event was organized to bid a heartfelt farewell to the outgoing Class X students and to celebrate their journey and accomplishments.

The ceremony began with a formal welcome, followed by the school band respectfully escorting the dignitaries to the stage. The programme opened with an invocation dance that created a graceful and positive tone for the occasion. This was followed by the welcome speech, during which the gathering of students, teachers, and guests was greeted and the purpose of the event was outlined.

The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the formal inauguration of the function, symbolizing knowledge and hope for the future. The lighting of the candle and the oath-taking ceremony, followed by the school anthem, reminded students of their values and responsibilities as they move forward in life.

The Chief Guest addressed the students with inspiring words, encouraging them to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to their goals. His message highlighted integrity, perseverance, and service.

The award ceremony was then conducted to honour students for their scholarly achievements. A farewell song added an emotional touch to the event, conveying gratitude and good wishes to the outgoing batch. The class teacher delivered a heartfelt speech, recalling shared memories and appreciating the unique qualities of the students.

The Guest of Honour shared her experiences and journey after school, motivating the students to stay confident, adaptable, and open to learning. Students’ reflections formed a special segment of the programme, where representatives of the outgoing batch shared their memories and expressed gratitude to their teachers and the school.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the management, guests, teachers, organizers, and students who contributed to

the success of the programme. The function came to a respectful close with the National Anthem. The farewell programme was meaningful and memorable, leaving the Class X students encouraged and inspired as they prepare to spread their wings toward new horizons.
