SFS Public School ICSE celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and awareness under
the theme "Nurture Nature, Secure the Future." The programme aimed to inspire students to protect
the environment and understand their role in building a sustainable and greener future.
The celebration commenced with a prayer song, followed by a welcome address highlighting the
significance of Environment Day and the collective responsibility of every individual towards
environmental conservation.
The school was honoured to welcome Sr. Metild Mary as the Chief Guest for the occasion. One of the
major highlights of the programme was an eco-themed Fashion Show presented by all four houses.
Students confidently showcased creative costumes made from eco-friendly and recycled materials while
conveying powerful messages on environmental protection. Their creativity, confidence, and
commitment to the cause were highly appreciated by the audience.
The Principal addressed the gathering and encouraged students to become responsible citizens who
actively care for and protect nature. The winners of the various competitions and the fashion show were
announced and felicitated.
As a symbolic gesture of commitment towards environmental conservation, the Chief Guest, Principal,
and other dignitaries planted a sapling on the school campus.
The NCC cadets conducted an awareness campaign in the nearby locality by distributing saplings and
spreading messages about environmental conservation. Saplings were also distributed to teachers and
House Mothers to promote tree planting and environmental responsibility.
The celebration concluded on a meaningful note, reminding everyone that every small effort made
today contributes to a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future for generations to come.
