SFS Public School (ICSE) celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great
enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 26th January. The celebration commemorated
the day when the Constitution of India came into effect, marking India’s
transformation into a sovereign republic.
The theme of the programme was “Our Constitution, Our Strength.” The
Chief Guest for the occasion was Rev. Fr. Anil Kiran, Assistant Parish Priest of
St. Francis de Sales Church. The celebration began with a prayer dance
performed by the children, invoking God’s blessings for the country.
The programme emphasized the significance of our Constitution and the
fundamental rights and duties it grants to every citizen. Students of Grade 2
actively participated in various cultural performances. They presented a
meaningful skit highlighting the importance of the Constitution and
fundamental rights. The students also organized a vibrant fashion show
showcasing the traditional attire of different states of India, beautifully
reflecting the nation’s rich cultural diversity. Patriotic songs, energetic dances,
and short speeches further added to the spirit of the celebration.
On this special occasion, the winners of the Sirikannada competition were also
felicitated and awarded for their achievements.
The celebration concluded with an inspiring message encouraging everyone to
uphold the values of unity, equality, and justice, which form the foundation of
our strong and diverse nation.
The event was truly memorable and left everyone feeling inspired and proud to
be citizens of India.
