SWIP Desalites' Carnival 2022

MSFS SWIP INTERSCHOOL COMPETITION
Desalites’ Carnival 2021-22

To commemorate and celebrate the virtues of St. Francis de Sales, our Heavenly Patron, Desalites’ Carnival: A virtual talent exhibition was organized for the second time by our school. Desalites’ Carnival was open to all the students from Kindergarten to PUC/ ISC of MSFS schools and colleges across Karnataka and Kerala.

We saw active participation from about 14 schools in the plethora of both individual and group events like fancy dress, solo dance, group song, group dance, mime, short film making, etc. Being the host school, we organized the event but did not participate. Distance or present situation could not bring the fervour down.

On the 1st of February, all the videos were judged by judges from different walks of life. It was a treat to see the efforts and talents that were put into by the participants.

The closing ceremony took place on the 5th of February in a grand celebration. The ceremony was graced by the auspicious presence of Rev. Fr. Vinod Kanattu as the Chief Guest, Rev. Dr. Roy PK, and Rev. Fr. Riju as the Guest of Honours, Ms Apeksha Pai a young celebrity, a ninth-grader from Sudana Residential school Puttur, who has started making a niche in Kannada playback singing joined the event as the Special Invitee. We are fortunate to have Rev. Fr. Jabamalai, the Councillor In charge of Education as our Principal, who was not only instrumental in beginning the Desalites’ Carnival but also played the key role in the organization of the event this year.

The Programme was also attended by the principals of different schools of the MSFS group of institutions. The teachers had also travelled all the way from Kerala and the different districts of Karnataka.

The variety of programmes, from invocation dance to captivating group song, peppy dance number, supported by the lively EMCEE, and the enriching messages by the dignitaries aurified the ceremony. Not to forget, the celebration was spiced up by the performance of our special invitee, Ms. Apeksha Pai. The ceremony jazzed up during the prize distribution of various events.

The excitement reached its peak with the announcement of the winners of this year’s Champions, the Rolling trophy, Desalites’ Vencedora, which was bagged by SFS Academy, CBSE, Hebbagoodi. We are glad that the event was a roaring success.
