Seminar for high school students

Std IX
A seminar was conducted by Mr Joe Fernando for the students of Std IX on 20-02-2023 which aimed at motivating, inspiring and encouraging students. The seminar started with the concept of being selfish which is to prioritize our problems and focus on ourselves first. Students learnt the importance of effective communication skills, perception and controlling emotions; motivational videos were shown which had a great impact on their mindset. An important quote that the students learnt was
‘The more you DO,
The more you LEARN,
The better you BECOME.’

Std X
A motivational seminar was organised by the management on 15-02-2023. The seminar was conducted by the resource person Mr. Joe Fernando. The seminar started with a prayer, led by our Principal Rev.Fr. Jabamalai. The speaker was welcomed by Geethika Ma’am.
The seminar covered all the vital topics of the students’ life; time management, peer pressure, importance of practice, method to practice on a daily basis, how to train the subconscious to stay focused, importance of conversations, He also guided how to use gadgets and how long to use it. The seminar also included a session on the need to respect parents, teachers, elders and the circle around them. The seminar covered all the topics for the holistic development of an individual.

ISC - XII
The new session of ISC - XII began on 20th February, 2023. To begin the year on a positive and motivating note, to guide and give the students a proper direction, a seminar was aptly organised for the students. The resource person for the day was Dr. Smitha Kantharaj , a person who has many feathers to her cap with a degree in ‘ Dental Surgery’. After giving her contribution in various fields, ma’am at present is a DMIT certified counsellor and a study abroad advisor.
Different topics were covered through group discussion and an interactive session on, mental health and awareness, smart learning, time management, value of education, lockdown effect on learning, women empowerment, social media etc.
The seminar was not only enlightening and entertaining but subjective and quite informative. The students not only enjoyed the seminar but participated wholeheartedly with enthusiasm .
