Shapath 2022

‘Crowning the Leaders of Tomorrow’

Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality. The Investiture Ceremony, Shapath-2022-‘Crowning the Leaders of Tomorrow’ was held with great pride on 6th June, 2022 at the premises of SFS Public School for the academic session 2022-23 by the students of Grade VII A, B & C under the able guidance of their Class Teachers.

Investiture Ceremony is one of the first momentous occasions of the school where the newly elected members of the student council are officially vested with their powers and positions. The Investiture Ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns upon the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities.

The ceremony was held with a lot of zeal and zest. It commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Sub-Inspector N. Dharii CISF, the Chief Guest of the ceremony, Rev. Fr. Vinod kanattu, the Guest of Honour, Inspector Jerry M Kurian CISF, the Special Invitee and our principal, Rev. Fr. Jabamalai, followed by a school prayer signifying removal of darkness.

The Chief Guest Sub-Inspector, N. Dharii CISF, hoisted the majestic school flag and then students recited the scriptures from Holy Bible, Bhagavat Geeta & Quran. This was followed by march past which is all about synchronization and teamwork. Besides being spectacular, if there is something inexplicably inspiring about march past, it is the sense of dignity and pride. The march past was led by the Head Boy Arjun R & the Head Girl, S Krisha Kushi followed by school cabinet members, Various Houses, NCC Cadets & School Band. They were conferred with badges and sashes by Chief Guest, Sub-Inspector N Dharii and Guest of Honour Rev. Fr. Vinod Kanattu. The Oath taking ceremony was led and administered by Rev. Fr. Jabamalai.

Sub-Inspector N Dharii congratulated the newly appointed student council and admonished them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. He also exhorted them to uphold the values. He reminded them that, with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their school and peers. It is continuous struggles and efforts that help one to achieve greater heights.

Rev. Fr. Jabamalai, our principal, appreciated and congratulated the student council. He also appreciated all the teachers, PE Teachers and non-teaching staff who indeed worked tirelessly for the preparation of Shapath-2022. He advised them to be role models and extended a supporting hand to the student council for the smooth functioning of the school. The dance performance by the girls of Grade VII was indeed captivating. During the vote of thanks, the Guests were felicitated by the Principal and were honoured with memento for their gracious presence. The function concluded with the National Anthem.
