Shapath 2026-27

On Saturday, 20th June 2026, St. Francis De Sales Public School organized its annual investiture ceremony, titled 'Shapath 2026-2027', on the school campus grounds. The event was organized to formally induct the newly elected student council members and assign them their leadership roles for the active academic session. The ceremony was attended by management, staff, special invitees, and students, and was graced by several prominent individuals.

The Chief Guest, SUB Shivalingayya Hiremath, delivered a powerful address on leadership responsibilities, focusing on core values such as honesty, team discipline, and continuous hard work. Guests of Honour Fr. Jain George and Bhoomika GS shared valuable life lessons with the new cabinet, while the Presidential Chair was held by the school Principal, Rev. Fr. Binoy Kurakalayil, who oversaw the oath-taking proceedings.

The program was carefully planned and began with a brief formal introductory note welcoming everyone, followed by a beautiful Prayer Song by the school choir. A formal Welcome Speech was delivered, after which the dignitaries came forward for the traditional Lighting of the Lamp to mark an auspicious beginning. To instill a deep sense of pride, the Flag Hoisting ceremony was held on the grounds, followed immediately by everyone singing the School Anthem with enthusiasm.

Following the Chief Guest's keynote address, the main part of the ceremony began with the distribution of badges and sashes to the student council. The prestigious School Flag was then formally handed over to the new student leadership team, representing the transfer of authority and trust. The newly badged student cabinet took part in a disciplined March Past across the campus grounds before standing together for the official Oath Taking ceremony, promising to fulfill their school duties with sincerity.

Right after, the students held candles and lit them from the main lamp, symbolizing the spread of leadership light. The Guest of Honour then shared encouraging words with the children, which was followed by an energetic Dance performance. The newly appointed student leaders—including the Head Boy, Head Girl, Jr. Head Boy, and Jr. Head Girl—subsequently shared their thoughts and visions for the upcoming school year. To honor past contributions, the school management made it a point to acknowledge the outgoing student council of the 2025- 2026 academic year for their hard work over the past year. The Former Head Boy and Head Girl gave a moving speech reflecting on their tenure, challenges, and memories. In his Principal's Address, Rev. Fr. Binoy Kurakalayil reminded the council to always lead by helping others. The day concluded smoothly with a warm Vote of Thanks to everyone who helped organize the event, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, closing out a highly successful event.
