Seminar for Teachers

The world has suffered a dark phase of life due to COVID 19, which did affect the whole mankind; thus, our little ones too have experienced tremendous change in their lifestyle, which did have some adverse effects such as difficulties in learning, dealing with emotions and behavioural issues. As the proverb goes, ‘After every dark night there’s a bright day’. Finally the days in SFS campus would once again be brighter with students all around as the new Academic Year 2022-23 begins. Hence SFS Public School ICSE & ISC took initiative to organize a two day seminar in SFS Public School ICSE & ISC auditorium for teachers to equip them to face various challenges one might have to encounter with students and assist them deal with their issues.

On 19th May, 2022 a well-organized seminar was conducted during the morning session on the topic,‘The impact of COVID 19 and the challenges in reopening the school-challenges faced by teachers and parents.’ by MS. Sandhya Gatti, a Ph.D scholar, Martin Luther University, Meghalaya. She addressed all the difficulties and challenges faced by the teachers and parents. She gave a detailed account of life after Covid 19 and also spoke on ways to adapt certain steps to address and overcome such matters.

In the afternoon, the seminar was conducted by Mrs. Snehlata A. Alphonso. Head of Department, Global Perspectives in Hill Spring International School, Mumbai. She spoke on the topic, ‘Effective Teaching Skills and Emotional balance of students.’

On 20th May, 2022 Ms. Sapna Prajapati, a criminal psychologist by profession who works with young offenders addressed the teachers on the various issues faced by the children while learning during the process of their growing stage. She presented various case studies and led the teachers into a brain storming session to come up with creative ideas to deal with the children.
